Real life Applications of Trigonometry

Aviation

In the previous few years, aviation technology has advanced significantly. Pilots have to consider the aircraft’s speed, distance, and direction, as well as the wind’s speed and direction. For example, if a plane is flying at a particular speed in a north-east direction and the wind is blowing due south, the wind will affect how and when the plane arrives.

Trigonometry applications will assist in determining the third side of the triangle, which will direct the plane in the correct direction; the plane will actually travel with the force of the wind added to its trajectory.
